A first-timer-friendly guide

Nine steps. No farm jargon required.

Buying directly from a farm works differently than grabbing a package at the store. We make each step clear before money changes hands.

What processing means

From live animal to custom cuts.

You purchase an animal—or a portion of one—from our farm. A trusted butcher harvests, cuts, and packages the meat to your specifications.

What the deposit does

$250 holds your place.

The deposit reserves a specific share and processing slot. It is deducted from your final total, not added on top.

  1. 1

    Choose pork, beef, or both

Compare the farm's offerings and decide what your household uses most.

  2. 2

    Choose your share size

Select a half or whole hog, or a quarter, half, or whole beef.

  3. 3

    Send a reservation request

Text, email, or use our guided form. We confirm availability before a deposit.

  4. 4

    Place the $250 deposit

Your share and processing place are officially held.

  5. 5

We raise and transport the animal

We manage the farm work and take the animal to our trusted local processor.

  6. 6

    Choose your custom cuts

We walk you through the cut sheet: steak thickness, sausage, bacon, roasts, hams, and more.

  7. 7

    Receive the final total

Final weights are confirmed and your deposit is deducted from the balance.

  8. 8

    Arrange pickup or delivery

We coordinate the practical details with you for Central Alabama.

  9. 9

    Bring home freezer-ready meat

Your custom cuts arrive sealed, labeled, and ready to stock.
